The Ignite Futures Fund is led by Impact Charitable in partnership with Gary Community Ventures and a coalition of funders in Colorado and across the country.
We will select 250 high school sophomores and juniors from across Colorado to jump-start their future. If selected, participants will be assigned to one of two tracks:
- Accelerate Track
- 100 young people will be enrolled in the Accelerate Track and receive $20,000 that will be invested to kick-start their future. Additionally, they will receive financial education, financial coaching & planning, a peer support network, and more.
- Spark Track
- 150 young people will be enrolled in the Spark Track and will be paid to complete surveys and participate in focus groups to help us learn more about their experience. Additionally, they will be given the chance to join our annual Stock Market Competition. The winner of the competition will receive $500.

It’s prom season, and it’s bound to be full of fresh starts and unforgettable moments! Your gently used formal wear can help more teens enjoy prom by donating to the library between Jan. 2 and Feb. 28.
We accept prom dresses, suits, shoes and accessories in good condition. Donated items will be shared at JCPL Prom Swaps, where teens shop for their outfits by donating food items to support local food banks. It’s a meaningful way for teens to lead the charge in sustainability and community care.
Any items not selected during the swaps will be donated to local nonprofits, including the Arvada Community Food Bank and the Jeffco Action Center, extending the impact well beyond prom season.
Help give formal wear a second life and help teens create memories that last a lifetime.

Jefferson County is taking action to support residents who may lose access to SNAP and WIC food benefits because of the federal government shutdown. Several county departments including Human Services, Public Health, and the Office of Emergency Management with the Sheriff’s Office are working together to share updates, connect people to resources and coordinate community support.

The Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP) helps cover heating and energy costs for families and individuals that qualify. LEAP accepts applications every year beginning November 1 through April 30. LEAP is not intended to pay the entire cost of home heating, but rather to help alleviate some of the burden associated with the colder months.
Positive Voice in Jefferson County
The Positive Voice in Jefferson County Initiative is a collective effort to empower and elevate the voices of those marginalized within our community. Recognizing we have more power and momentum together, we coordinate our efforts to advocate for our shared values, including health, safety, and well-being. We foster connection as we take action to build a more inclusive community.
Discussion typically centers around the following questions:
- What are you working on and how can folks support your efforts?
- What are you seeing/hearing; what should folks know regarding what is happening within the community?
- How can we best work together/coordinate our efforts?
